Jim Palazzolo

I recently received an assignment back from my professor.  His reaction to the document was amusing.  I’m not too sure if I offended him, or entertained him; I’m hoping the later of the two because my primary objective was to entertain.  However, besides sheer entertainment, my secondary objective was to practice my ability to create deception.  Although both objectives were not required in the assignment syllabus, it has been my observation that security personnel must be able to spot deception.   Whether it’s covert channels or fake ID’s, deception is a very powerful tool that can be used both offensively and defensive.  Please enjoy the paper I wrote, and attend to the question at the end.  Enjoy!

A completely unclassified, unattended, irresponsible, and inaccurate estimate of a Trans-Afghanistan oil pipeline that will run from the Caspian Sea to the ArabianSea.

Unocal, or Union Oil Company of California, is the merger of three California based oil companies.  Eleven years after the company’s formation, the headquarters moved to Los Angeles California in 1901. Over the next 60 years the company acquired other oil production companies and expanded its business beyond its California borders and became a national oil supplier.  In 1977 Unocal diversified its holdings by purchasing Molybdenum Corporation of America.  The acquisition of Molybdenum made Unocal the largest American supplier of rare earth elements.  In 1997 Unocal was purchased by Tosco Corporation, who was later purchased by ConocoPhillips.

With regards to the Trans-Afghanistan pipeline, Unocal was a major investor in CentGas during the mid-to-late 1990's.  This consortium of groups was seeking to transport Caspian Sea (Turkmenistan) oil resources through to the southern border of Pakistan where the oil could then be shipped out via oceanic vessels.  However, this plan was canceled due to civil instability in the region.

Currently, the Trans-Afghanistan pipeline is a pipeline that transports natural gas from the Caspian Sea to the Arabian Sea in the south.  The need for this section of pipeline arises out of competition with Iranian and Russian oil producers.  Both countries, Iran and Russia, have strong holdings over the oil production originating from the Caspian Sea.  However, the Trans-Afghanistan route has never been successful due to resistance posed by internal disputes over trade rights within the region.  For example:  in Afghanistan, the Taliban has made the creation and operation of such a pipeline very difficult.  Due to their violent nature, the Taliban leadership has been labeled as security threat as opposed to a trading partner.  Recently a deal was signed with an Indian company, GAIL,  regarding the Trans-Afghanistan route; and, who will support the construction of the route financially.

Currently there is an oil pipeline owned by a Chinese company that stretches from the northern part of the Caspian Sea and into China.  This pipeline is one of the first major pipelines running directly from the Caspian Sea into the Chinese interior.  This pipeline supplies a good portion of the overall Chinese demand for oil.

China has had a strong relationship with Pakistan since the 1950’s.  This relationship began shortly after Pakistan's rise to independence from India in 1947.   China views the relationship with Pakistan as leverage against India's growing power in the region.  However, recently, China has shied away from supporting extreme Pakistan-India relations.  Traditionally, China would support possible violent resolutions proposed by Pakistan.  However, due to the growing revenue potential within India, China wishes to capitalize on this potential.  Recently China has been seen as a passive party between Pakistan-India relations.  Although, China has a good relationship with Pakistan, it too has difficulties with regards to Islamic extremist activity within Pakistan.  Over the past decade Chinese Uighur Islamic separatists have sought refuge and military training within Pakistan.

Globally there is not one centralized interest surrounding a Trans-Afghanistan pipeline.  Western organizations such as Unocal, as well as, Central Asian organization stand to profit from further extraction of Caspian Sea resources.  One thing to note is the growing military influence of the Chinese military in the region.  Currently the Chinese military is planning to stand up a military base in Northern Pakistan.  This will put increased pressures on Western organizations, as well as, increased political tensions within the region.  Although the Chinese state the military base would be for counter-Uighur operations within Pakistan, Western and Central Asian regimes seem to think otherwise.  With China gaining a permanent foothold in the region, its ability to project power in the region increases.

With growing tensions between China and other major world powers for economic dominance, the real crux of the Trans-Afghanistan pipeline is the secret war being waged by interceding extraterrestrial forces.  For the past five decades secret CIA files have been leaked pointing to extraterrestrial interest in terrestrial natural resources; most notably the Grey’s v. Sasquatch factions.  With various Special Operations teams operating within the region, increased pressure has been put on these teams to gain leverage within the extraterrestrial conflict.  However, recent engagements and sightings have gained little advantage for terrestrial organizations.  Although no concrete evidence points to natural resource producers having relations with the extraterrestrial forces, reported reserve levels, mixed with consumption reports, indicates that there are gaps within the numbers.  This gap suggest the hiding of gross resource output.  The disparate results of these output metrics hints at secret relations developed between terrestrial producers and extraterrestrial agents with regards to natural resource distribution to extraterrestrials.

Another rising concern is a mishap during any conflict that would reveal to the world the existence of extraterrestrial beings.  A leading sociologist, who wishes to remain nameless, states that: the revelation of the existence of extraterrestrials would cause a catastrophic breakdown in the paradigm of the individual consciousness.  This breakdown would then lead to further chaos and upheaval, which, could ultimately result in an apocalyptic scenario; thus, leading to the destruction of mankind.

It has not been proven with a certain level of confidence whether or not either side of the extraterrestrial conflict sides with mankind as a whole or any faction if at all.  There is a growing concern within the global Special Operations community that each side of the conflict is acting upon its own accord.  Although all extraterrestrial sides to the conflict seem to have the ability to warp space time, it is unknown why neither side has come to Earth, in force, to dominate the face of the planet.  It is hypothesized by researchers that both sides believe in the concept of Mutually Assured Destruction, and therefore hold the natural terrestrial resources to be more valuable than Mutual Extermination in pursuit of resource dominance.   With this in mind, it does seem plausible that all sides are simply attempting to gain dominating leverage over the resources.  It is also plausible that these extraterrestrials are here to negotiate and influence those who would possibly hold the dominate role in the dissemination of the resources.

A third faction has been rumored to have intervened in a more intimate way with the human elements surrounding the pipeline.  The Snake Men, or Reptilians’, have been rumored to have infiltrated human society as a whole; dominating the human race from within.  With their keen ability to assimilate human likeness, the Reptilians’ appear to have infiltrated all forms of government and wealth.  It is believe that this race is a dominate galactic force with relationships similar to those of superpowers and lower states.  It is believed that tithes from all factions are paid to the Reptilian race in exchange for protection and mediation with regards to terrestrial natural resources.

Further proof of this secret pact or conflict can be seen in the language used by official publications and legislative language.  By concealing the term extraterrestrial within the word aliens, legislative and legitimate bodies can engage in public dialogue with public scrutiny believing that the term alien defines any entity not derived from a specific terrestrial organization.  Although this is not completely inaccurate, the definition within the context of the natural resources must also include those entities that are not derived from a terrestrial origin.  The following quote shows how such language is used and how easily concealment of the true meaning is achieved:

“Colonies has been following a policy which would that acquisition of oil rights by a British company must provide that not over 25 per cent of its capital be held by aliens and that a majority of its directors shall be British with other provisions to insure absolute British control.”

(Unknown, 1920)

Regardless of the deception involved to maintain public order, the nature of the environment surrounding the Caspian Sea region is tenuous at best.  Clearly, it can be seen, as major powers engage in the region and invest in the surrounding Caspian Sea tenants, that the natural supply of resources will always be a major point of contention.  One area of concern, or contemplation, is the planetary situation after the depletion of the natural supply.  It is believed that the extraterrestrials will leave upon their own accord after the natural supply has depleted.  However, some contest that oil is not the only natural resource that has peaked extraterrestrial attention, and that extraterrestrial relations will persist even long after the natural oil supply has been depleted.  What is critically important is the exit strategy away from natural resources as they eventually deplete.   It is imperative that we as a species learn from our alien counterparts, and realize this:  if resources can become depleted upon an extraterrestrial home world, then so may our own terrestrial resources; and, that their existence here is further proof that if we are to survive as a species we must think of that inevitable future and plan accordingly less we succumb to our own short sighted ventures.

Question(s):  with some resources credible and some not so credible, which story is real? Have you fact checked me as a person?  Have you checked your staff, your neighbor, your family doctor, your pastor at your local church, or your kid's teacher?  And, if so, was the source you used to determine their real identities a reliable and credible source?
